PHAs are a type of chemical exfoliator that help resurface and retexturise skin. Their benefits are very similar to well-known AHAs and BHAs, but PHAs have a larger molecular size and don’t penetrate as deeply into skin, which makes them gentler and a better option for resurfacing and exfoliating dry, sensitive skin.

Chemical exfoliators like PHAs, BHAs or AHAs reduce dead skin cells, blackheads and buildup and help pores look smaller. Non-chemical exfoliators like mineral-rich green mud and sea salt can also help remove buildup and tighten the look of pores.

Consistent, regular exfoliation is key. Opt for a daily treatment with chemical exfoliators like PHAs, BHAs or AHAs and add masks or peels in as needed.

As well as using exfoliators, add a deep pore cleansing treatment mask or black head remover mask to your regimen 2-3 times a week to help reduce blackheads, buildup and dead skin cells and keep pores looking small and tight.
